Integrative Health
What is Integrative Health?
Integrative or Complementary Health is an approach to healthcare that combines the best of traditional Western medical practices, combined alternative medicine methods, and holistic techniques to improve the body’s ability to heal itself. Integrative health strives to understand the individual and to meet the patient's physical, emotional, and mental needs. It employs multiple forms of therapy to achieve wellness. The aim is to emphasize multimodal interventions, which are conventional treatments such as physical therapy or medication combined with complementary health plans such as yoga, nutrition, physical, and psychology, to name a few.

Taking an Integrative approach for pain management, symptom management, and other health-related behaviors can fall within one or more of these categories.
